I’m Samuel Farmer, Managing Director in EMEA for Options. We’re providing services to over 600 clients across over 60 data centers. Services range between co-located services for trading infrastructure, market data distributed globally, as well as integrated cloud and desktop services.

We currently service the top 25 investment banks globally. We’ve seen a significant uptick in demand for HPC, specifically across some of the key centers, London, Chicago, Frankfurt. A lot of our financial services clients are in a competitive landscape with each other. So faster algos meet faster processing of data, et cetera, over a faster network.

Options has been innovating around software development, including the use of AI across how we automate our processes. That could be anything, from a full data center build, to a network switch, to how we manage change control across 600 clients. AI is really a key part of our platform.

We’ve seen through COVID a lot of technical debt building up across the financial services sector. We have infrastructure that’s nine, ten, eleven years old at the moment. Part of that is introducing risk around how we can help the client in bringing that into a new platform. Digital Realty forms a key part of our partner program to deliver that.

The majority of our customers take a full end-to-end solution, which includes a full security wrapper. We’re managing their data, their networks, their overall security for that deployment.

It’s pivotal that we work with partners that can deliver that, like Digital Realty.
